As you know, the Great Falls Genealogy Society Library is open and available to patrons. Our apologies to those who have called to check on that and heard the message on our phone that we are closed! That has been corrected!
The Library is open from 1 – 4 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday, with a limit of 10 people (volunteers included) in the Library at any one time.
The Great Falls Public Library is re-opening on Mondays, and we would like to open the Montana Room and GFGS Library on Mondays as well. To do so, we need volunteers for both locations. If you have been thinking about volunteering, this would be the time to do so. If that is something you have not done before, we will be glad to train you, and have you work with one of our volunteers initially.
I want to thank those of our members who are responding to our plea for donations to our Acquisition Funds. Your graciousness in this regard is most appreciated. Thank you, too, to Jerry and Kathy Kuntz for their donation of 60+ local yearbooks. Nearly 50 of those yearbooks are ones not currently in our Library! What a treasure trove.
It is good to have so many of you coming to the Library! Please enjoy your summer. As you are out and about, if you come across books that would add to our Library holdings, call the Library (727-3922) to check and see if we already have it or not. Visiting garage sales this summer, I’ve found several books and magazine files needed at the Library.
