We will be conducting two workshops this coming weekend.
On Saturday, January 12th, will be the “Immigration, Naturalization, and Citizenship” workshop. It will be held in the Cordingley Room of the Great Falls Public Library from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Jan Thomson will be the instructor. Learn how to find immigration data and how to get your ancestor’s naturalization documents. Also, ship arrivals and the laws that were in effect when your ancestor immigrated or was naturalized. The cost for this workshop is $5 for GFGS members and $10 for non-members.
For GFGS members, on Sunday, January 13th, will be the “Critical Reading of Death, Marriage and Birth Certificates” workshop, and on Sunday, January 27th, will be the “Analyzing with Timelines” workshop. Both workshops will be conducted in the GFGS Library from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Again, Jan Thomson will be the instructor and both workshops are free for Society members. More information about these workshops can be found in our January 2019 newsletter, pages 3-4.
