The 2018 Montana State Genealogical Society State Conference will be held here in Great Falls, September 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2018, at the Heritage Inn. The guest speakers for the Conference will be:
Pamela Boyer Sayre, CG, FUGA, a professional researcher, educator, author and lecturer who currently co-ordinates and teaches several courses at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy & the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh.
Rick Sayre, CG, CGL, FUGA, currently serves as president of the Board of Certification of Genealogists. He also co-ordinates advanced land courses with Pam Sayre and legal courses with Judy Russell at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy & the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh.
Ken Robison, Historian of Neglected Montana History, is an historian, preservationist and chronicler of neglected Western history at the Overholser Historical Research Center in Fort Benton. He has authored seven books & will relate some favorite stories from over the last two decades.
The full schedule of events has now been released, along with the registration form that must be downloaded, completed and returned to MSGS. You can also pick up a registration form at the GFGS Library. If you pre-register by August 28th, you will qualify for a drawing for a refund of the Conference fee ($60 max.).
You have various attendance options to choose from:
Register for the full conference which includes the Friday & Saturday workshops plus the Friday banquet and 2 meals;
Register for the conference without meals;
Register for only one day of workshops (either Friday or Saturday) and no meals.
There will also be two workshops on Thursday, but these are free to attend. The Montana State Genealogical Society only asks that you register for the Thursday workshops for space planning purposes.
